Christmas Greeting for 2011*

For many years now, Barbara has written a Christmas poem that is sent to our family, friends, owners and renters. We get so many positive comments that we are posting it on our site just in case you did not receive one - all others are here too if you want to read them.

A curious elf on his first Christmas ride
Wanted to see Santa fill stockings inside
He peered down the chimney, lost balance and fell
You couldn’t see him but could hear this elf yell

Santa finished, up the chimney he rose
Dislodged this elf with soot on his clothes
Who flew through the air hitting the waiting team
Knocking reindeers off balance – a fearful scene

Comet luckily hurt neither legs nor hoofs
After falling to the ground from this very steep roof
Rudolph and all managed to stay by the sleigh
Filled with toys, clothes and gifts for this Christmas Day

Santa checked his helpers to see they were fine
As they had a long night and were pressed for time
He also made sure they were very aware
That on this journey they must take special care

Children have tried to be as good as can be
And were now waiting for Christmas anxiously
With a “Ho, Ho, Ho”, and a wink of his eye,
Santa, elves and reindeer flew high in the sky

We heard him exclaim - “Good will to all on earth
As you celebrate joyously Jesus’ birth”
We also want to add our good wishes too -
Friends and family and especially you

May all your days be filled with love, hope and cheer
As you welcome and celebrate this New Year

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
