*‘Twas a few weeks
before Christmas and working many a day to hand make the
gifts I was giving away I had glue in my hair,
sparkles on my nose, fake white snow and paint on my clothes We traveled south and
ended up in a hurry trying to make the awaiting Cape May
Ferry Shopping outlets
seemed a fun thing to do; also buying other gifts for those
that we knew But what surprised me
most was the ferry captain himself; he was dressed in red
and resembled an elf We weren’t in Lewes
but in a wonderland of dreams where wishes come true or so
it seems Icicles sparkled like
diamonds in the snow; trees glistened with beautiful clear
lights and bows And off in the
distance not too far away stood a magnificent, breathtaking
magical sleigh Its runners were gold
and the lettering too; the rest iridescent red, white, green
and blue And standing proudly
beside were reindeer quite large and the red nosed Rudolph
seemed to be in charge The “captain” then
took us to a house made of sweets; made of all known kinds
of tempting treats It was a true
gingerbread house from roof to floor with gumdrops and icing
and a real chocolate door Mrs. Claus greeted us
warmly and invited us inside and showed us their home, what
a wonderful guide We saw the kitchen
with cookies and candies galore then the workshop with toys,
games, clothes and more We were in that
magical land where dreams come true thanks to Santa and his
helpers for all that they do Children worldwide
awaken early Christmas day anxious for their gifts under the
tree on display May this sharing and
caring stay throughout the year are the wishes of Santa,
elves and reindeer
